Finn on Munster Ladies Rugby squad

A 32-player Munster squad has been named ahead of this month’s Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship.

It includes Garrykennedy native Catriona Finn, who plays her club rugby with AIL champions UL Bohemian, and has been selected in the squad for the first time along side Kate Flannery from Bansha.

Munster’s Interpro campaign gets underway this Saturday, August 10th with the visit of Ulster to Virgin Media Park in Cork while Fiona Hayes’ side will host Leinster at the same venue a week later on Saturday, August 17th.

A week later, Munster travel to Galway to take on Connacht at Dexcom Stadium on Saturday, August 24th. A Finals Day will be held on Saturday, August 31st at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast.

In addition to the 32 selected, seven Development players have also been named with these players set to train with the senior squad throughout the summer and gain valuable experience.

Across the 32-player squad, there are nine uncapped players, many of whom are coming up from representing Munster U18 in recent seasons.

Chloe Pearse, who has 29 senior appearances for Munster, will captain the squad throughout the campaign while Aoife Corey has been named as vice-captain. Fethard’s Dorothy Wall will line-up for Munster before heading to England to play for Exeter Chiefs in the Gallagher Premiership

Ballina’s Maeve Óg O’Leary has been ruled out of the campaign due to injury.
