Watch Centre Junior 'A' Hurling Championship: The semi-finals took place last Friday.

Bob Delaney was the star man for Toomevara with a hat-trick of goals in his sides 3-15 to 0-15 victory over Roscrea in Moneygall.

His first goal was from the penalty spot in the first minute as Toome raced into a 1-2 to 0-0 lead. The second goal came in the 21st minute as the greyhounds held a comfortable 2-11 to 0-7 half time lead. Delaney completed his hat-trick in the 57th minute as Toome secured a safe passage to the final.

In the second semi-final in Toomevara - Kiladangan had a comfortable 1-24 to 0-12 victory over Ballinahinch. Kiladangan held a 0-9 to 0-7 half time lead and pushed on in the second half to secure victory. Eoghan Sharkey scored the Kiladangan goal in the 52nd minute after great set up play from Eoin Meagher.

Kiladangan and Toomevara will face off in the North Final on Friday 6th September at 6.45pm in Borrisoleigh - this will be a repeat of the league final.

Watch Centre Junior 'B' Hurling Championship: In Group 1, Newport secured a spot in the knockout stage after a 1-16 to 0-10 victory over Burgess last Thursday in Newport.

There was little between the sides in the first half, with the home side leading 0-9 to 0-7 at the interval. There was stalemate for the early part of the second half, with no scores registered over a ten minute period. The deadlock was broken midway through the half when the decisive score came - a goal pushed over the line by Emmet Floyd. Newport went on to add the points for a convincing victory. Damien O'Brien, Darragh Meaney and Andrew Hickey were most prominent in defence, while Stephen Coffey (0-7, 5f), Callum Poole (0-3) and James Moloney (0-3) were the leading marksmen.

Silvermines had a 0-16 to 0-8 victory away to Portroe last Saturday. The visitors were on top throughout and held a 0-7 to 0-3 lead at half time.

The final game in the group takes place this Wednesday 21st August at 7.00pm as Borrisokane host Knockshegowna. A Knockshegowna victory will secure top spot in the group and a place in the semi-finals (with Silvermines and Newport to the quarter finals). A Borrisokane victory or a draw will mean that Silvermines top the group (with Newport and Knockshegowna to the quarter finals).

Group 2 concluded last weekend. Ballina secured top spot and a place in the semi-finals after a 2-13 to 0-12 victory over Moneygall on Sunday.

Moneygall held a 0-7 to 0-5 lead at half time, but Ballina put in an impressive second half showing with a Brian McKeogh goal in the 40th minute gave Ballina a four point lead. Ballina held a three point lead going into the closing stages with a Kevin Cosgrove goal in the 54th minute helping to secure victory.

Moneygall finish in second place and progress to the quarter finals. They will be joined there by Toomevara who had an impressive 0-24 to 1-8 victory over Kiladangan in Toomevara on Saturday evening.

A Jim Minehan goal in the fifth minute gave Kiladangan a good start but Toomevara dominated the half and led 0-17 to 1-6 at half time. Kiladangan were unable to reduce the Toome lead as they greyhounds held out for a comfortable victory with Jack Harford, Mark Harty and Benny Dunne prominent scorers for the victors.

Templederry Kenyons gave Lorrha a walkover in the final game in the group.

Ger Gavin Under 19 ‘A’ Hurling Championship: The group stage concluded last Wednesday.

Toomevara topped Group 1 after an impressive 4-16 to 2-6 victory over Silvermines. Toome held a 3-8 go 1-4 half time lead with Austin Duff and Darragh McCarthy scoring goals for Toome within the first five minutes. McCarthy added his second before Danny Quinn scored a goal for Silvermines just before half time.

Quinn added his second goal In the 37th minute to reduce the Toome lead to nine points, but David O'Brien responded four minutes later with the fourth goal for the greyhounds.

Nenagh Eire Og received a walkover from Moneygall/Clonakenny.

Borris-Ileigh secured top spot in Group 2 with a 2-20 to 1-11 victory away to Roscrea.

Paddy McCormack was the focal point of the early scoring for Borris with the team's first six out of eight scores. Roscrea came into the game in the second quarter with good use of the ball, but Borris went into the break ahead 0-11 to 0-4.

Roscrea had the perfect response at the start of the second half with a goal within the first minute, but Borris refused to be deterred and responded with a penalty success courtesy of Paddy McCormack a few minutes later. The Borris men continued to increase their presence on the scoreboard in a dominant display with David Rabbitte scoring the team's second goal late on.

The semi-finals take place this Wednesday 21st August at 6.45pm - Borris-Ileigh will host Silvermines whilst Toomevara host Ballina. Entry to both games is via either tap and go or tickets which are available to purchase on the Tipperary GAA website.

Ger Gavin Under 19 ‘B’ Hurling Championship: continued last Wednesday.

In Group 1, Borrisokane had a 2-10 to 0-12 victory over Burgess. Burgess held a 0-8 to 0-6 lead at the interval, but the Borris second half goals proved to be the winning of the game. Portroe had a 3-13 to 1-17 victory over Ballinahinch/Templederry in the second game in the group.

No games will take place in the final round of the group as Portroe have conceded to Burgess and Ballinahinch/Templederry have conceded to Borrisokane.

Both Borrisokane and Burgess will progress to the semi-finals.

In Group 2, Kilruane MacDonaghs continued their good form with a 5-21 to 0-12 victory over Lorrha Rovers in Cloughjordan.

In the second game, Kiladangan and Newport played out a 0-17 to 1-14 draw. With the aid of the breeze, Kiladangan put in an impressive first half display and held a six point lead but a well-worked Newport goal from Brian Tobin just before half time reduced the lead to three - 0-13 to 1-7.

Kiladangan maintained this going into the final quarter, but Newport had the sides level in the 56th minute. Both sides traded frees in the closing minutes.

The final games in the group take place this Wednesday 21st August at 6.45pm - Kiladangan host Kilruane MacDonaghs in Puckane and Newport host Lorrha Rovers with the top two progressing to the semi-finals which take place on Wednesday 28th August.

Under 17 'A' Hurling: The Quarter Finals took place last Monday 19th August - Toomevara had a 0-14 to 0-10 victory over Newport, Borris-Ileigh defeated Moneygall 2-21 to 4-9, Kilruane MacDonaghs had a 1-19 to 2-15 victory over Kiladangan whilst Nenagh Eire Og had a comfortable victory over Silvermines.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Monday 26th August.

Under 17 'B' Hurling: The semi-finals are scheduled for Monday 26th August at 6.45pm - Lorrha Rovers face Portroe in Borrisokane whilst Roscrea face Borrisokane in Lorrha.

Under 15 'A' Hurling: The quarter finals took place last Thursday - Roscrea had a 5-7 to 2-10 victory over Lorrha Rovers whilst Nenagh Eire Og defeated Kiladangan.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday 29th August - Nenagh Eire Og face Newport in Kilcolman whilst Kilruane MacDonaghs face Roscrea in Toomevara.

Under 15 'B' Hurling: The quarter finals took place last Thursday - Burgess had a slender 0-13 to 1-9 victory over Portroe, Borris-Ileigh got the better of Silvermines, Toomevara defeated Ballinahinch/Templederry by 0-19 to 1-8 whilst Moneygall conceded to Ballina.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday 29th August - Burgess will face Borris-Ileigh in Cloughjordan whilst Ballina face Toomevara in Nenagh.

Under 13 'A' Hurling: The quarter finals took place last Tuesday - Moneygall had a 4-8 to 3-7 victory over Newport, Roscrea defeated Ballina 4-9 to 1-9, Toomevara got the better of Kilruane MacDonaghs 3-12 to 1-6 whilst Nenagh Eire Og had a 5-10 to 2-9 win over Silvermines.

Under 13 'B' Hurling: The sole quarter final took place last Tuesday in Kilcolman when Ballinahinch/Templederry defeated Borris-Ileigh.

Under 13 'D' Hurling: Three of the quarter finals took place last Wednesday - Roscrea defeated Kiladangan, Newport were victorious over Kilruane MacDonaghs whilst Nenagh Eire Og had a 2-4 to 1-6 victory over Toomevara in MacDonagh Park. The fourth quarter final took place last Sunday when Silvermines defeated Burgess in Kilcolman.

The semi-finals take place this Friday, 23rd August at 6.45pm - Newport face Nenagh Eire Og in Dolla whilst Silvermines face Roscrea in Nenagh.
