Nenagh Players mark Heritage Week

Following on from last year's successful celebration of National Heritage Week, the Nenagh Players will once again stage a number of comedy sketches in The Store, Hanly's Place, to mark the annual event.

The Players have been part of the town's heritage for the past 80 years and this Saturday, August 24, they are inviting you to two laughter-filled performances, which they will perform free-of-charge. The first show is at 12.30pm, with the second at 3pm. Patrons are asked to come along early as spaces are limited.

As part of Heritage Week, the Players are encouraging people to view the outdoor exhibition covering the last 80 years, which is mounted along the railings of Nenagh Arts Centre.

The exhibition covers the Players from their inception up to the present time, featuring stories and photographs of many members down the years and some of the shows they have staged.

Meanwhile, once Heritage Week has concluded, the Nenagh Players are looking forward to auditions and rehearsals for their annual autumn production, which will be revealed in the coming weeks.
