Customers are experiencing low water pressure

Crews working to restore water in Tipp townland

Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore water to customers supplied to the Fethard Regional Water Supply scheme, due to a burst which took place on Thursday.

Customers from Poynstown, Ballysloe, Boilick Crabb, Gortnahoe, Glengoole North/South and New Birmingham are experiencing a disruption to their water supply due to the burst and every effort is being made to return a normal supply as quickly as possible.

Due to a number of bursts in recent days reservoir levels are low and customers are experiencing low pressure.

Alternative water supplies are being deployed and are available at the Community Centre New Birmingham, Hogans carpark Ballysloe, and the Community Centre Gortnahoe.

Repairs are scheduled to be completed by Friday afternoon, August 23 with water expected to return to customers by 4pm.

Uisce Éireann’s Colin Cunningham assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible.

“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our works are ongoing.”
