Fine Gael select candidate to contest election

Councillor Phyll Bugler has been selected by Fine Gael to represent the party in the Tipperary North constituency at the next General Election.

Party members selected Councillor Bugler on Friday night in a convention held in the Templemore Arms, which was chaired by former Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney.

Fine Gael has now chosen 48 General Election candidates in 31 constituencies.

Cllr Bugler said: “Having served as a councillor for over 20 years and Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council, I have demonstrated that I possess the experience and capabilities to be an ef-fective representative.

“I want to continue to work on behalf of the people of Tipperary North as part of the Taoiseach’s team, to deliver for the people working and living here, farming and raising families and I am confident in my ability to do just that.”
