A CULTURE Night to remember takes place in the award-winning Abbey Court Hotel on Friday week, September 20.

The Showband Era was a golden age for music across Ireland in the 1960s and 1970s with ballrooms packed to capacity as dancers enjoyed the top bands of the day. This magical evening will encapsulate that golden age of music providing fans with chance to Hucklebuck their way along with other favourites like Old Man Trouble, The Candy Store on the Corner and the House with the White-washed Gable.

Fans of this wonderful era will enjoy all the hits made famous by Brendan Bowyer, Joe Dolan, Dickie Rock, Shaun O’Dowd, Larry Cunningham, Butch Morre, Bit Tom and many more.

This wonderful night of entertainment will be compered by the Showband Man himself, Martin Grace. It promises to be an evening of nostalgia, laughter and fun, so do pop along at 9pm on Culture Night to Butlers Bar at the Abbey Court Hotel. This is a free event.
