The Watch Centre Junior 'B' Hurling Championship
Congratulations to Silvermines who claimed their third North Junior 'B' Hurling title last Saturday in Puckane after an exciting 2-14 to 0-18 extra time victory over a gallant Newport side. Cathal McGrath and Daniel Ryan were the victorious joint captains for Silvermines. See match report for further details.
Junior 'C' Hurling Championship
Silvermines currently sit top of Group 1 after their 0-16 to 0-11 victory over Kilruane MacDonaghs last Sunday in Dolla whilst on Saturday, Ballina had 1-11 to 1-8 victory at home to Ballina.
In Group 2, Shannon Rovers made it two wins from two after they defeated neighbours Lorrha 0-13 to 0-9 in Lorrha whilst Borris-Ileigh had an entertaining 3-15 to 4-10 victory away to Roscrea.
Group 1 continues this Sunday, 29th September at 12 noon - Kilruane MacDonaghs host Ballina in Cloughjordan whilst Silvermines make the short trip into Nenagh to face Eire Og in MacDonagh Park. Ballinahinch have a bye.
Round 3 of Group 2 doesn't take place until Sunday 6th October when Borris-Ileigh host Shannon Rovers and Roscrea host Lorrha.
Under 17 'A' Hurling
Hard luck to Toomevara and Kilruane MacDonaghs who lost to strong opposition in the form of Durlas Og and Holycross/Ballycahill last Sunday in Borrisoleigh in the County semi-finals.
Under 17 'B’ Hurling
Congratulations to Roscrea who defeated Golden Kilfeacle 1-17 to 2-9 last Sunday in the County 'B' Hurling semi-final. Best of luck to Roscrea who face Gortnahoe/Glengoole in the final this weekend.
Under 15 'A' Hurling
Congratulations to Newport who put in a very impressive display last Wednesday in Puckane where they claimed the North Under 15 'A' Hurling title after a comprehensive victory over a gallant Roscrea side.
Under 15 'B' Hurling
Well done to Borris-Ileigh who put in a strong last ten minutes to claim the North U15 'B' Hurling title last Saturday in Dolla with a 3-11 to 3-10 victory over Ballina.
Under 13 Hurling
Well done to Toomevara (A grade), Ballinahinch/Templederry (B grade) and Silvermines (D grade) who claimed County Under 13 hurling titles last Saturday in Holycross. Commiserations to Newport who lost in the 'C' Final.
