Fianna Fail's Cllr Goldsboro and the Tánaiste visited local businesses.

Tánaiste visits Tipperary

Local Fianna Fáil General Election candidate, Cllr Imelda Goldsboro was joined by Tánaiste Micheál Martin on the canvass trail in Clonmel and Cahir.

Along the course of the canvass, Cllr Goldsboro and the Tánaiste got to engage with constituents and speak to them about the issues facing them in Clonmel and Cahir. It was a great opportunity to hear about what constituents expect from a local representative in the next government.

Reflecting on the day, Cllr Goldsboro said: “It was a fantastic day canvassing in Clonmel and Cahir with Tánaiste Micheál Martin. There was great engagement from so many, and I am delighted the Tánaiste was able to join me so that local businesses and constituents’ concerns can be heard on the ground.

“The day was very constructive in many ways. It was of great benefit for constituents to express their opinions on issues affecting them, and for them to hear from the Tánaiste and I.”

Cllr Goldsboro, who has topped the poll in the last two local elections, has said South Tipperary needs a TD so that South Tipperary has a local voice at the national table.

“I am a very determined and hard-working councillor. Anyone that knows me knows that I get things done for constituents. I come from a farming community; I am a mother of three teenagers. I live in the real world, so I know the day-today struggles that people face.

“I believe South Tipperary needs to elect a TD that is willing to represent constituents at a national level. I will be that local voice at the national table if I am elected in the next general election.”
