Tipperary GAA launches ‘Win a House’ Draw fundraising campaign
Tipperary GAA has launched its most ambitious fundraising initiative to date: a ‘Win a House’ draw.

Following on from similar successful fundraising ventures held by county boards in Clare, Galway and most recently Limerick, the premier county is following suit as they hold a draw with the grand prize being a fully furnished home in Bregawn, Cashel, valued at €350,000. Alternatively, the winner can choose a cash prize of €300,000.
Tickets are priced at €100 and will be available for purchase through the official ‘Win a House’ website www.winahouse.ie and participating Tipperary GAA clubs. To encourage local engagement, €30 from each ticket sold through a club will remain with that club.
Legendary Tipperary player and manager Nicky English was the special guest who formally launched the fundraiser at the Bro Boru Theatre Cashel, attended by leading Tipperary GAA officials, including Chairperson Jimmy Minogue and CEO Murtagh Brennan, as well as Ger Ryan, Chairperson of the Munster Council.
Also present were Tipperary senior hurling & football managers Liam Cahill and Philly Ryan, as we as under 20 & minor hurling managers Brendan Cummins and James Woodlock.
Tipperary GAA CEO, Murtagh Brennan, emphasized that all funds raised will be ring-fenced for the development of a state-of-the-art training facilities in the county. He noted that this initiative reflects the Tipperary County Board's commitment to overcoming infrastructural challenges and creating a modern training environment to nurture the county’s future stars.
Some of developments earmarked include the upgrading of Dr Morris Park in Thurles, plus Tipperary GAA’s contribution to the new all-weather pitches planned in their link-up with TUS Thurles.
Brennan added that protocols have been put place that the money cannot be used for the day-to-day running of the county board.
Tipperary GAA Chairperson Jimmy Minogue, also expressed his gratitude to the County Finance Committee for their exceptional efforts and professionalism in organizing the campaign.
A target has been set to sell 20,000 tickets over the next six months, with the final draw taking place on St. Patrick’s Weekend 2025.
