Junior 'C' Hurling Championship: We are near the knockout stages of the championship after last weekend’s games.

In Group 1, Ballina and Nenagh Eire Og played out a 0-13 to 1-10 draw, Kilruane MacDonaghs conceded to Ballinahinch whilst Silvermines had a bye. Both Ballina and Silvermines progress to the semi-finals.

In Group 2, Shannon Rovers secured top spot in the group after a 1-16 to 2-11 victory over Borris-Ileigh whilst Lorrha secured second spot with a 3-8 to 3-7 victory over Roscrea.

The semi-finals will take place this Sunday, 13th October at 12 noon - Ballina will host Lorrha whilst Silvermines will travel to Ballinderry to face Shannon Rovers.

Under 21 Hurling Championships: Both 'A' and 'B' Championships will consist of two groups with the top two teams in each group progressing to the semi-finals.

Round 1 will take place on Sunday 20th October at 12 noon.

In Group 1 of the 'A' grade, Borris-Ileigh will host Ballina whilst Toomevara will have a bye in Round 1. In Group 2, Silvermines host Kiladangan in Dolla whilst Nenagh Eire Og host Roscrea.

In Group 1 of the 'B' grade, Newport host Moneygall/Clonakenny whilst Borrisokane host Ballinahinch-Templederry. In Group 2, Kilruane MacDonaghs host Burgess whilst Portroe host Lorrha Rovers.

County Finals: The very best of luck to Toomevara (Senior), Moneygall (Intermediate) and Kiladangan (Junior 'A') who compete in their respecting County Hurling finals this weekend.

County Action: Kiladangan had a 2-6 to 0-8 victory over Boherlahan-Dualla last Saturday in the County Junior 'A' Football semi-final. They will face Knockavilla Kickhams in the Final on the weekend of 19th October.

In the Junior 'B' Football quarter finals which took place last Saturday, Burgess had a comfortable 5-9 to 0-7 victory over Boherlahan-Dualla whilst Ballina lost 1-4 to 3-4 to Thurles Gaels. Burgess' semi-final takes place on the weekend of 19th October with their opponent unknown at time of going to print.

In the County Under 15 Hurling semi-finals, Newport had a 4-10 to 1-15 victory over Moyle Rovers in the 'A'. In the 'B', Borris-Ileigh lost to Knockmealdown Gaels 4-7 to 2-15 while Newport had a 2-15 to 1-6 victory over Kilruane MacDonaghs in the 'C' 2nd team semi-final.
