Nenagh to host glitz and glamour fashion show

On Friday, November 8, Sarcoma Cancer Ireland and the local New Institute Snooker Club will jointly hold ‘The Grand Glamorous Fashion Show’ in the Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh.

The highly anticipated show promises to be a wonderful evening of fashion and entertainment.

Sarcoma Cancer Ireland is dedicated to raising awareness, facilitating early diagnosis, and providing essential support services to those affected by Sarcoma. Among those who sadly died from this rare form of cancer was 17-year-old Sean Hilmi, a student at Nenagh CBS, whose mother Geraldine is helping to organise the glamourous not-to-be-missed show.

The New Institute Snooker Club, Nenagh, aims to enrich the lives of young children by providing opportunities for growth and development through the sport of snooker.

The Grand Glamorous Fashion Show will begin with wine and canapé reception at 7pm. Those attending will have the opportunity to view trade stands from local shops. Doors will open at 7.40pm and the show begins at 8pm. Ladies fashion will be on display from a variety of shops.

The event itself will be hosted by Ireland AM Stylist Mandy Maher with co-host Mary Garrigan.

Among special guests on the night will be Michelle Fitzpatrick, Fiona Morgan Coleman and Trish Murray.

To find out more about the lives of these ladies check them out on social media: michelle upthelane, fionamorgancoleman and trishmurray_personalstylist. Spot prizes will be awarded on the night for most glamorous lady, stylish handbag and funky shoes.

Special guests will be on hand to entertain the audience throughout the show. At the conclusion of the show rising country star Aisling Rafferty will play in the bar to continue the night’s entertainment.

The New InstituTe Snooker Club is delighted to be one of the beneficiaries of funds raised on the night and indeed many will be supporting the show because much of the funds raised will go to research into Ewing sarcoma, from which Sean Hilmi, a hugely popular athlete with Nenagh Olympic, died from in January 2021.

Tickets for the show cost €50 and can be purchased from the Abbey Court Hotel, Jim Shanahan, 087-793 6258 or Geraldine Hilmi, 087-902 3899.
