Successful Buns 'n' Roses event in Portroe to aid work of village Tidy Towns

Portroe Tidy Towns would like to thank all who made our annual Buns ’n’ Roses fundraiser such a success.

The committee would like to thank our sponsors, everyone who donated prizes, bought lines and raffle tickets, baked cakes and buns and helped out on the day, a huge thank you also to our church choir who sang for us so beautifully in the hall.

A very special word of thanks to everyone who gave donations throughout the year.

This year’s ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ was a huge success; children brought their favourite teddy bear with them, they had their own picnic area full of treats and games and were also included in a free draw where all the prizes were teddy bears!

Congratulations to all the prizewinners.

First prize - Trailer-load of timber (Ann Wallace), second prize - Food Hamper, Gleeson's Spar (Paul Hogan), third prize - €50 voucher, Nenagh Tyre Centre (Mairead Keating), fourth prize - €50 voucher McLoughlin's Hardware (Alan Kelly), fifth prize - wine hamper Seymour's Bar (Keely Slattery), sixth prize - voucher, Cora's Hair Salon (Sean Crawley),  seventh prize - voucher, Portroe Grill (John Ryan).

Also congratulations to all our prizewinners from the raffle on the day.
