National boxing title for Nenagh’s Gleeson

Nenagh native Cori Gleeson was crowned the new Irish Intermediate Boxing champion last Friday night following a brilliant victory over Courtney McCrudden from Belfast in the 57kg category final at the National Stadium in Dublin.

The bout was tied going into the last round, but 20-year-old Cori picked off some beautiful shots and used the ring excellently to just pip her very worthy opponent.
