Fourth Class pupils from St Mary’s Primary, Nenagh, met author Emma Larkin on Friday, October 18, as part of this year’s Children’s Book Festival and had great fun constructing a story using the positions of Gaelic footballers on a pitch.

Children’s Book Festival in Nenagh

Tipperary Libraries celebrated the Children’s Book Festival during the month of October and, as usual, Nenagh Library took part, with schools invited to a number of different events throughout the month.

First up, on October 7, we welcomed back the hilarious Wayne O’Connor and his ‘Revolting Rhymes’ storytelling. Next we had illustrator John Carpenter, who participated in a Manga art class on Wednesday, October 16, and finally, the popular children’s author, Emma Larkin showed Fourth Class pupils from St Mary’s Primary how to construct a story using the positions of Gaelic footballers on a pitch to do so.
