O’Meara hosts Tánaiste in Nenagh
General Election candidate for North Tipperary and Northwest Kilkenny, Councillor Ryan O’Meara, hosted Tánaiste Micheál Martin in Nenagh town on Sunday.
Speaking on this, Councillor O’Meara said: “It was a great privilege to have An Tánaiste Micheál Martin in Nenagh during the first official weekend of the General Election campaign.
“This is the second time the Tánaiste has canvassed with me in Nenagh this year and I deeply appreciate the support from our party leader on my campaign. I’m very grateful to the Fianna Fáil organisation right across North Tipperary and Northwest Kilkenny who’ve rallied behind me in recent weeks and supported me thus far.
“It was a particularly special moment for me to bring the Tánaiste to Callanan MacLoone O’Meara Academy of Irish Dance and to dance with my mother Pauline, my brother Michael, and my nephew Max, for the Tánaiste and the crowd that gathered.
“It was also a pleasure to introduce the Tánaiste to our champion dancers and display the silverware on show here at the dance school. The school put on a great showcase for the Tánaiste and I’m glad he had the opportunity to see firsthand the talent being fostered in our local area.
AMBITious VOICE
Ryan O’Meara added: “If elected, I intend to be a new and unapologetically ambitious voice for what we can achieve in North Tipperary and Northwest Kilkenny. This campaign is only a few days old so far, but we have been out canvassing for over a week since I was selected to contest the General Election on behalf of Fianna Fáil. The response received on the doors has been very encouraging and I’m looking forward to the coming weeks.
“In the weeks ahead, I intend to work extremely hard and convince the people of North Tipperary and Northwest Kilkenny that it is time for a new generation of politician in our area and that I can be that fresh, new voice in Dáil Éireann.
“We need a voice that will fight for North Tipperary and Northwest Kilkenny and ensure that our concerns in the areas of housing, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, policing, the cost of living and so much more are heard and addressed at national level. I have gathered extensive experience the last four years working directly with the people of North Tipperary and Northwest Kilkenny on these issues and this has given me the understanding and insight required to be the voice our constituency needs.
PASSIONATE
“I’m passionate about our area and my role in serving our people and if elected, I intend to bring that fresh energy to Dáil Éireann.
“I’d like to thank An Tánaiste Micheál Martin for joining us on the campaign trail, Callanan MacLoone O’Meara Academy of Irish Dance - teachers, students and their parents, for the fantastic showcase they put on, and all of my supporters for joining us in Nenagh on the Tánaiste’s visit” concluded Cllr O’Meara.
