The céilí will be held in memory of Michael Loughnane, a great ambassador for set dancing, teaching sets in Nenagh as well as in Thurles.

Memorial céilí in Toomevara

Club Rince Aonach Urmhumhan is delighted to honour the memory Michael Loughnane with a Memorial Céilí, which will be held in the Parochial Hall, Toomevara, on Friday night, November 22, at 9pm.

This is a charity céilí and all proceeds will be going to World Aid. Michael was a great ambassador for set dancing, teaching sets to us in Nenagh as well as in Thurles. He knew the history of all the sets and took great joy in passing on his knowledge and love of dancing to all he taught. He held céilís in Thurles and called the sets for the céilís in Toomevara and at our set dancing weekend in January.

Music will be by Tim Joe and Anne O’Riordan, one of the best duos on the scene. They guarantee a lively night with some beautiful tunes. Tea and homemade goodies will be served at the break and will give us a chance to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones.

Come along and join us for a great night of dancing and craic. For further information, contact Connie on 087 9542163.
