Tidy Village re-elects Siobhan to chair

Outgoing chairperson of Birdhill Tidy Village Committee, Siobhan Larkin, has been re-elected for a further term, with the unanimous support of the members at the Annual General Meeting.

In her address to the meeting, Siobhan expressed sincere thanks to all who helped in any way during the year, and especially to each member of the committee.

She thanked the wider Birdhill community, volunteers, sponsors, Tipperary County Council, supporters of the GoFundMe page and Mulcair Credit Union for their continued support, with special thanks to Matt the Threshers for their generous contribution.

Sincere thanks was also expressed to Brett Fitzpatrick for the use of his poly tunnel for plants, and to both Brett and Denis Floyd for watering the plants over a long period of time.

The committee is also very grateful to local media for all the publicity regarding itactivities and in particular, Martin Ryan.

A minute’s silence was observed in respect of the death of Terry Griffith’s sister, who passed away during the year. May she rest in peace.
