Nenagh based Gaelic Armour inks landmark GAA partnership

A Nenagh based sportswear company has unveiled a GAA landmark, becoming the official kit manufacturer for all Leitrim GAA inter-county teams.

Gaelic Armour’s three-year deal with the Connacht county is their first with a GAA county, after successfully working with teams at GAA club level, as well as Ladies Football and Camogie, including Tipperary Camogie for the last couple of years.

This first inter-county GAA contract is an innovative profit-sharing agreement represents a significant milestone for both organisations, celebrating a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and the rich Gaelic Games heritage of Leitrim.

Under this agreement, Gaelic Armour will supply Leitrim GAA teams with state-of-the-art playing kits, training gear, and supporter merchandise. All kits, including replica jerseys, will be proudly designed, and manufactured in Ireland, ensuring superior quality while reflecting the unique identity and culture of Leitrim.

The collaboration launched with the unveiling of the new Leitrim GAA jersey, inspired by the iconic Pól an Eas waterfall. This unique design pays homage to Leitrim’s stunning natural beauty and resilient spirit, while incorporating Gaelic Armour’s innovative manufacturing technology to enhance player performance.

Gaelic Armour was founded in 2016 by Moneygall native Billy Hayes, and in 2019 became Tipperary’s first officially licenced supplier to the GAA and only the fourth brand to receive the highly sought after inter-county licence.

They operate out of a state of the art facility in Stereame Business Park in Nenagh where they design and manufacture innovative playing kit to athletes, sports teams, and individuals.
