Green shoots clear to see
Ormond CCÉ hold AGM 2024
The Ormond CCÉ Cruinniú Cinn Bhliain (AGM) took place in the Half Door Bar, Summerhill, recently.
Outgoing Cathaoirleach Brendan Quinn welcomed a great turnout for the meeting and thanked everyone for their participation and support over the past year.
Brendan congratulated all those who had taken part in the various branch activities in 2024 and praised those who had participated in the fleadhanna and competitions for Ormond CCÉ.
Like many other branches, Ormond CCÉ is rejuvenating following the effects of Covid lockdown and the green shoots are now becoming clear to see.
A new officer board was elected for the coming year. Our new Cathaoirleach Emily Kennedy and Treoirí na Gaeilge Lusaí O'Meara were welcomed and thanks was expressed to all the committee - Cisteoir Pascal Gray, Runaí Marie Byrne Moylan and outgoing Cathaoirleach Brendan Quinn for all their great work over the past year. Honorary Membership was awarded to Ann Quinn, who has been a long-time supporter of the branch, attending meetings and helping out generally.
Sympathies were offered to all members who lost loved ones over the year, in particular Paddy Ryan, Donal Smith, Eva Farrell, Marie Tynan, Joan Dillon and Raymond Delaney, who all passed to their eternal rest in 2024.
The election of officers for 2025 saw the following committee returned:
