New Ormond Park to host Munster ‘A’ v Leinster ‘A’ Inter-pro this Friday

The redevelopment of New Ormond Park has already begun to pay off as it hosts another high profile inter-provincial game this Friday.

Off the back of hosting Munster first home game in the IRFU 150 Interprovincial ‘A’ Championship against Ulster last month, the venue will welcome Leinster ‘A’ for a mouth-watering clash.

With the URC derby clash between the great rivals taking place at Thomond Park later in the evening, the scheduling of this round 4 ‘A’ Inter-provincial game is certainly spectator friendly with a 1.30pm kick-off, allowing both sets of supporters to take in both games if they so wish.

The sides met in round 1 when Leinster won 22-7 at Terenure College with Munster have played Ulster back to back since, defeating the northern province in Nenagh 50-33 but Ulster turned the tables in Belfast last Friday with a 26-14 win.

The Munster team that featured in the game included Nenagh Ormond’s rising second row/back row Fionn O’Meara and his presence is sure to attract a large home following in what should be an ideal was to blow away the Christmas excess.

Admission is €10 for adults; €5 for students/OAP’s while children go free.
