Festive fun at the Cairde Céilí!

Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré

Cairde Céilí: Great fun was had at our annual céilí with our First Year group and Sixth Year Cairde group. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a fun and festive one!

TY Young Cooks Competition: Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré held the in-house competition for the TY Young Cooks Competition on Monday, December 9. Congratulations to all who entered; the standard was incredibly high. Aoibhe McAndrew and Ciara Crofton were the winners and will now proceed to the regional finals in Archerstown on January 31.

Part of the criteria for the competition was that two of the ingredients were to be sourced from local producers. This made students more aware of the value of our local food producers and to support them. Thank you to Monty and Ms Ormond, who judged the competition

Senior hurling: On Monday, December 9, our senior hurling panel travelled to UL to face Coláiste Dún Iascaigh in the Munster Semi-Final. Man of the match was Jack Walsh in a strong performance from CPR, who won the game with a final score of CPR, 3-18 to CDI, 1-10.

CPR now go on to play in the Munster Final. The very best of luck to our senior panel and their coaches.
