Water supply restored in Tipp townland
Water supply is returning to normal for impacted customers on the Templetney, following a burst along the network.
As the network refills and supplies return throughout the evening, customers in the impacted areas may experience intermittent disruption or low water pressure until 8pm. Properties on high ground may experience short delays in water supply being fully restored. Customers may also experience short-term discolouration to their supply. For more information, customers can visit: www.water.ie/water-supply/supply-issues/discoloured-water
Alternative water supplies will remain in place until today – Friday, January 3, in the form of bulk tankers, which can be accessed at Redmondstown Cottages.
Uisce Éireann’s Colin Cunningham said: “We acknowledge the inconvenience caused by interruptions to the water supply and very much appreciate the community’s co-operation while our crews worked to carry out the repairs and restore supply.
“We are appealing to customers to check for leaks in the home and carry out necessary leak repairs to prevent avoidable loss of water. We are also asking farmers to check their service pipes, drinking troughs and outbuildings asking the public for their support to help reduce overall demand by conserving water.”
Customers are urged to report loss of service or visible leaks to assist Uisce Éireann to identify bursts. The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries.
