Ballymackey Ladies keep the pressure on

Ballymackey Women took the three points on offer in their home Combined Counties Women’s Division clash with Banagher United on Sunday.

With the sun shining in Ballinree, Ballymackey’s Amber DeLewis, Zoey Gratton, Chloe McAuliffe, Lisa Toohey and Thia McCarthy all found the back of the net.

Ballymackey rejoin Willow Park at the top of the table, though the Athlone side have a game in hand. Next up for Ballymackey in the League run-in is another home tie with Killeigh Rovers on Sunday.

Ballymackey then will be left with two difficult away fixtures to navigate in Mountmellick and Portlaoise and they also will host Willow Park at home in what will possibly be a pivotal game in the League.
