Free webinar on importance of public transport
Public and active transport are big parts of our lives and will become more important as we aim to become a more climate-friendly country – but not everyone has equal access to them.
Feminist Communities for Climate Justice, a joint project between NWC and Community Work Ireland, will host a lunchtime webinar on Wednesday, February 19, higlighting existing equality and access issues in public transport, and exploring solutions to deliver a transport system that is truly accessible for all.
The webinar entitled “All Aboard – Public & Active Transport For All” from Feminist Communities for Climate Justice, a joint project between NWC and Community Work Ireland, will take place from 1-2pm, on Wednesday, February 19.
Speakers will include:
•Chloe Ní Mháille, Director at Comhdháil na nOileán (Irish Islands Federation)
•Caoimhe Clarke, Executive Committee board member at Irish Cycling Cam-paign
•James Casey, Disability Inclusive Climate Justice Lead at CBM Ireland
This event will have Irish Sign Language interpretation and will also be recorded.
