Burglaries in Cloughjordan and Shinrone and dog stolen near Nenagh
The theft of a greyhound in the Nenagh district and a number of local burglaries are being investigated by gardaí.
A property at Benamore, Cloughjordan, was burgled on Saturday last. A similar crime took place on the same day of a house in Shinrone. Gardaí suspect both crimes were carried out by the same offenders.
On the previous day a house at Gleann Glas, Roscrea, was broken into some time between 2am and 4am.
The alleged interference with property at Saint Mary of the Rosary Church in Nenagh led to the arrest of a male on Sunday afternoon last.
A quantity of tools was stolen from a van parked in the Rearcross area on Friday last. A black BMW was spotted parking up beside the van a short time beforehand. The BMW was then seen driving off in the direction of Limerick. Gardaí are hoping to interview the occupants of this vehicle.
Meanwhile, the greyhound was stolen from a property at Ballycahill, Nenagh, on Sunday last. The incident happened overnight and appeared to have been what gardaí described as a targeted theft.
