Tipperary teams named for Super Saturday of action
Tipperary host London and Cork in a National Football & Hurling League double-header on Saturday evening, while the Senior Camogie team begin their league title defence against Dublin
The Tipperary teams have been announced for Saturday's Allianz National Football & Hurling League double-header at FBD Semple Stadium, Thurles.
Supporters are reminded that tickets for ALL Allianz League games must be purchased either online or in selected Centra and Supervalu stores as tickets will not be on sale at any venue. Supporters are also reminded that there will be no Tap & Go in operation at match venues and as is the GAA’s policy for all competitions, no cash will be taken at the turnstiles. Supporters are asked to plan their trip well in advance of each game and this should include making sure that you have your tickets purchased before departing for the game.
Tipperary v London @ 5.00pm
Starting with the Senior Football team who take on London on round 4 of division 4 of the National Football League at 5.00pm, shows three changes from the starting line-up against Waterford last Sunday with first senior starts for Jack Nevin and Cian Smith while Michael Barlow also gets a start in the full forward line. Injured skipper Steven O'Brien misses out along with Ben Comerford and Conor Fahey who drop to the subs bench.
Tipperary v Cork @ 7.30pm
The Tipperary Senior Hurlers renew their great rivalry with Cork at 7.30pm in round 4 of the Allianz National Hurling League Division 1A, and it shows two changes from the team that started against Limerick last time out with Joe Caesar coming in at wing back for his first senior appearance in place of Seamus Kennedy, while Jason Forde starts in attack with Darragh Stakelum dropping out. Under 20 goalkeeper Eoin Horgan is on the subs bench with Rhys Shelly ruled out through injury.
Tipperary v Dublin @ 2.00pm
Earlier in the day, defending champions Tipperary begin the defence of their Very Ireland National Camogie League Division 1 title when they take on Dublin at the County Camogie Grounds, The Ragg at 2.00pm.
The team includes last years All-Ireland Minor winning captain Sarah Corcoran who goes straight into the team at midfield. All-Ireland Premier Junior medal winner Amy Quinlisk also makes her first senior start as does Laura Leenane in goals.
