‘Dancing Queen’ at Nenagh College
Nenagh College was a hive of activity on Wednesday and Thursday, February 12 and 13, with four performances of the school musical, ‘Dancing Queen’, including two matinees for the students at the local primary schools and evening shows for the wider public.
Mr Stephen O'Meara, acting as principal and MC for the evening, congratulated all the staff who supported the students in producing such an exceptional show, with a special mention for the producer, Ms Carol Ann Purcell.
He reserved a special thanks to Miriam Ball, who became an honorary staff member for the year to direct the show.
Mr O'Meara expressed his great pride in all the students who participated in the show to include those on stage, backstage, front-of-house and those who helped with the artwork, advertising, costumes, stage and hall preparation, saying the show was a whole-school enterprise, reflecting the spirit of the school.
The students were a wonderful advertisement for the school and were all indebted to Ms Purcell and her team for providing them with the opportunity to participate in the maiden voyage in school musicals in Nenagh College. Excitement is already building for next year’s instalment.
