Roscrea speakers complete programme
Our club recently conducted a six-week Speechcraft Programme.
Speechcraft is a proven hands-on programme that provides the how-to and practical experience in public speaking and communication. It is a series of blended learning sessions that can be delivered online via Zoom, in person or a combination of both. It is primarily aimed at non-members of Toastmasters.
It is facilitated by experienced speakers in a safe and supportive environment, dedicated to your personal and professional development.
This programme has been developed by Toastmasters International, who have over a hundred years’ experience in helping people develop their public speaking and leadership skills.
Upon completion of this basic course, you will have the option to continue your training in your local Toastmasters Club.
Among the benefits you will achieve are:
• Gain confidence in public speaking
• Develop communication and language skills
• Become an effective listener and offer effective feedback
• Use of body language, vocal variety, visual aids and speech structure
• Improve job or promotion prospects
The co-ordinator of this course was Larry Lyons who is a member of the club since its foundation in 2007. Our club meets every second Thursday in the month at 8pm, in The Courthouse, Roscrea and online as well.
Upcoming meetings this month is on March 20.
