Security at Nenagh hospital

Nenagh hospital now has 24-hour security staff in place.

Extended security cover was introduced at the hospital this month, though HSE Mid West said this was part of ongoing efforts to ensure safety, rather than a response to any particular issue at the hospital.

“Nenagh hospital has been serviced by dedicated full-time 24/7 security since Monday, March 10,” HSE Mid West said in a statement.

“Previously, security personnel had been on duty at the hospital 8pm to 8am, supported by security staffing from UHL during busy periods.

“This new arrangement is part of ongoing efforts by HSE Mid West to ensure the safety of all patients, staff and visitors who use our hospitals.”
