€6m for Latteragh realignment

An allocation of €6 million has been confirmed for the Nenagh-Thurles road realignment at Latteragh this year.

The status of the project was queried at last month's meeting of Nenagh Municipal District by Cllr Pamela Quirke O'Meara, who noted that the scheme was held up over archaeological excavation.

Cllr John Carroll said there were a number of issues to be resolved between the contractor and property owners along the route. He asked the council to revisit the situation.

Senior Engineer Kieran Malone said €6 million has been allocated for the Latteragh road realignment, which would be going to tender this year.
