Francis celebrates launch of new book
A fantastic crowd of family, friends, and mindfulness enthusiasts gathered at the new Templemore Library and enterprise hub on March 13 to celebrate the launch of Francis O’Toole’s latest book, 365 Mindfulness Wisdom.
Francis emphasised his belief that libraries are not just about books but are vital places for inspiration and lifelong education.
Speaking about his new book, he described 365 Mindfulness Wisdom as a collection of daily insights designed to encourage mindfulness in everyday life. He shared his personal journey with mindfulness, highlighting how small, simple moments such as a deep breath or a quiet pause can bring clarity and peace in a fast-paced world.
A key message of the evening was the importance of taking full responsibility for our mental health and wellbeing. Francis encouraged everyone to become a leader in mental health by cultivating positive energy and sharing it with those around them. He acknowledged the immense pressures of modern life/work demands, social media, global conflicts, and climate concerns, all of which contribute to rising stress and anxiety.
In response, he emphasised the need for self-care and kindness, reminding everyone that looking after their own wellbeing allows them to better support others. The audience was also treated to a special guest appearance by Dr Brian McClean, a clinical psychologist whose work in psychology and mindfulness provided valuable insights into the evening’s theme. His presence added depth to the discussion and reinforced the importance of mindfulness in both personal and professional life.
365 Mindfulness Wisdom is available for purchase at Eason and Waterstones book stores or can be easily ordered online via Amazon.com.
