Grant aid awarded to cathedral

St Flannan’s Cathedral community and the people of the district were delighted to hear that the cathedral has been awarded a grant of €114,600 from the Historic Structures Fund for work on the cathedral’s north transept roof. This is a most welcome and timely grant as the cathedral suffered significant damage in the recent storm.

Dean Marsh, the Friends of St Flannan’s and the Cathedral community are grateful to Minister of State, Christopher O'Sullivan and to all those who worked so hard to put the bid together. It is a great achievement in the cathedral’s 800th year.
