Limerick District League Review

There was one game in the Premier League when Mungret Regional beat Nenagh AFC 2-1 on Saturday to retake their third spot in. Hamsa Celik and Cian McNicholas were on target for Mungret.

Cillian Scully was on target for Nenagh who lined out as follows; Conor Hodgins, Saeed Ryan, Kieran Barr, Colm Hayden, Conor McCormack, Conor Hanniffy, Adam Ryan, Mike O'Gorman, Cillian Scully, Dylan Morrison and Nathan Kelly.

DIVISION 1B

In Division 1B, Nenagh AFC ‘B’ went down to Glenview Rovers in a high scoring game. The game finished 6-4 to the home side with the winning scores coming from Sean Keane (2), James Malone, Peter Cregan, Conor McNamara, and Frank Lang while Jonathan Lawlor, Diarmuid Fitzpatrick, Liam Hannon and Dylan Kennedy replied for Nenagh.

In Division 3B, Lough Derg were 2-0 down at half time and needed to up the tempo to claw back into the game. The second half was a much higher tempo performance. Jakub Slaga got a touch after a series of corners and finished a second to make it 2-2 after an hour. Shels went close with two efforts off the post and some good saves before Derg drove on in the final fifteen minutes. With the wind at their backs, Derg went direct. Keeper Will Bennett Quaid went close to scoring before Sean Tormey set up Slaga to complete his hat-trick. Tiago set up Liam O'Shaughnessy to make it 4-2 and he added a second at the death after good work by Noel McLeish for a 5-2 win.

PREMIER YOUTH LEAGUE

In the Premier Youth League, goals from Daniel Connolly (2) and Phelim Creagh gave Nenagh AFC the spoils in a 3-1 win over Mungret Regional while Lough Derg lost 2-1 to Aisling Annacotty, Liam O'Shaughnessy with the Derg goal.

Their Under 17 team fell 5-1 to Caherconlish. Jack Grace netted the Derg consolation.
