Emma is a winner!

Congratulations to Emma Quirke on winning the UK Jigsaw Puzzle National Championship earlier this month.

Granddaughter of well-known local couple Pat and Patricia Ahern, Emma is a regular visitor to Nenagh, where as a child she bought many of her jigsaws at JKC’s. Now a schoolteacher working in Blessington, Co Wicklow, Emma has gone on to take part in international jigsaw competitions, racing against the clock to complete puzzles faster than anyone else.

Her most recent success was winning the UK championship (individual class) in Bradford, where she completed a never-seen-before 500-piece jigsaw puzzle in a time of 41 minutes, 55 seconds. There were almost 200 competitors from around the world involved. Emma, native of Killarney, beat her nearest rival by almost seven minutes!
