Dawn Chorus in Tipp
May is upon us.
The Tipperary Branch of Birdwatch Ireland will celebrate this lovely month of growth, birdsong and flowers with a dawn chorus event at Pat Maher’s farm, Freighduff, Cashel, E25D211, on Sunday, May 4, at 5am. This lovely amenity provides a great biodiversity of birds, plants, insects and mammals. If the birds oblige us with their songs we hope to hear the usual garden birds.
When they are quiet, we’ll look at the variety of plants that grow on this organic farm. It’ll be a gentle amble around the farm.
Non-members are especially welcome. There is no charge. Come along and find out why, how and when birds sing. Be awed by the nature on your doorstep.
Meet at Pat’s farm at 5am. Plenty of parking! Wear suitable weather gear and footwear. Binoculars would be a bonus. There will be a cuppa and a chat afterwards.
Children with adults, please!
