Killaloe-Ballina Town Enhancement, Tourism and Mobility Plan.

Some 98 submissons were received on the Killaloe-Ballina Town Enhancement, Tourism and Mobility Plan.

Senior Planner Brian Beck told the October meeting of Nenagh Municipal District that submissions came from a wide range of local groups and individuals. Among the issues raised were tourism development, waste management and concern over lack of services such as electric vehicle charging points.

Mr Beck said consultants are presently working through the submissons and preparing a report on the plan. Local councillor Phyll Bugler welcomed the volume of submissions. She pointed out that are "some very exciting ideas" for Lough Derg in the new 'Tipperary Transforming' tourism plan and she hoped to see these acted on soon.
