Drugs searches in Nenagh and Roscrea
Gardaí carried out several searches for illegal drugs in Nenagh and Roscrea over the Christmas period.
In one incident, cannabis with an estimated value of €800 and benzodiazepines worth around €400 were seized in Nenagh's Cormack Drive estate. A male suspect was arrested and has since been charged.
During the same period and in the same area, cocaine valued at €500 was seized. Another male was arrested and charged.
The largest seizure took place at Gleann Glas, Roscrea, on December 20th when €4,000 worth of cocaine was seized during a planned search operation. A local man in his 30s was arrested at the scene. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
Elsewhere, gardaí seized a quantity of counterfeit notes when they stopped and searched a van at Carrigatoher, Nenagh, on December 29th. A file is being prepared for the DPP in this matter also.
