Counterfeit money warning in Nenagh district

Gardaí are warning that counterfeit €50 notes are in circulation in the Nenagh district.

The fake notes have been used in Newport, Toomevara, Roscrea and Nenagh. A definite line of inquiry into the circulation is being followed and it is understood that a number of arrests have been made.

Shopkeepers and shoppers are being urged to be extra vigilant in the run up to Christmas.
