Progression of Nenagh gas project

The next phase of Nenagh's gas and water main project has now commenced.

The focus of this next phase will be Ormond St., Summerhill, Church Road, St. Flannan's Street and the Dublin road. Work on this phase will continue until April.

After being halted for Christmas, the works project recommenced at Ashe Road and is continuing this week with temporary traffic lights in place.

The final phase of the project, planned to commence in April/May of this year, will continue to build gas and water network around Nenagh town.

The project is taking place on a phased basis and is expected to be completed by early 2017.

Tipperary TD Noel Coonan recently received a progress update on the €17 million Nenagh project from Ervia.

Deputy Coonan said the project would attract inward investment, expand existing businesses and families.
