Midlands Gymnasts impress in Dublin
On Sunday 8th March, 70 Gymnasts from recreational classes representing Midlands Gymnastics Club, based in Nenagh took part at the Gymnastics Ireland Gymstart Challenge in the National Sports Arena, Dublin.
Over 1,400 gymnasts from all around the country competed in the different levels and age groups on the floor and vault.
Gymstart is a national competitive event aimed at recreational members to provide them the opportunity to experience competition within a fun and relaxed environment while celebrating personal achievement.
After weeks of hard work in preparation for the competition, girls from Midlands Gymnastics proved that they once again can hold their own on the national stage. Gymnasts ranged in age from 5 to 13.
Each gymnast received a participation medal and the club also had a large number of first to third medal placings and fourth to sixth place certificates which are highly commended placings.
