Nenagh business Echo IT gets big award
Nenagh business Echo IT, run by Portroe native Donal Bray, has been honoured by the country's leaders of the industry, who presented the firm with a prestigious national "All Star" award.
Echo IT scooped the coveted award at the Irish Business Summit in Croke Park where the leading lights in Irish business descended on April 19th for the Fourth Annual All-Ireland Business Summit, attended by a 1,000-strong audience from all 32 counties who heard a selection of highly successful business people revealed their top secrets to success.
At the event Donal Bray's company was accredited with an "All-Star Leaders in Rural Broadband and Business Communications" award. Echo IT, a leading indiginous company, won the award, having qualified for the Business All-Stars competition final, which was one of the key elements of the summit.
The Business All-Stars is an annual competition designed to identify, recognise and accredit Irish companies and individuals that have distinguished themselves in the conduct of their business over the last 12 months.
Speaking at the event, Kieran F. Ring, CEO of Global Institute of Logistics, and Deputy Chairperson of the Adjudication Panel, heaped praise on Echo IT for its enterprise. “The decision to designate Echo IT with leaders in rural broadband and business communications 2018-19," he said, "is based on the score achieved in four rounds of intense competition.
"The application, supported by references, interviews and independent ratings from the ‘mystery shopper’ process left the adjudication panel in no doubt that Echo IT is richly deserving of this accreditation."
In response to the announcement, Donal Bray of Echo IT expressed his sincere thanks for being accredited as leaders in business communications services and rural broadband sector. "Achieving All-Stars accreditation is a great source of pride for us and we look forward to continuing to meet standards set by the All-Star programme," said Mr Bray.
He added:
"The structure of the competition required us to put our brand story on paper and gave us the opportunity to reflect on who we are, our growth strategy and, above all, the value we create for our target audience.
"The opportunity to hear first-hand feedback from our judge-mentor, our existing customers, partners and suppliers through the reference module combined with the results from the mystery shopper round was invaluable.
"We would like to thank all at the competition for making the effort to listen to our story, understand and award our business and, above all, help us to promote it,” said Mr Bray.
Speaking at the summit, Dr Briga Hynes, Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick, and Chairperson of the Adjudication Panel, said Echo IT has demonstrated an ability to innovate and has impressive growth plans which reflected the resilience and optimism that were the hallmarks of Irish entrepreneurs.
"Echo IT bring a real inspiration for what is possible in business in Ireland," she said, "and provide important role models for the many aspiring entrepreneurs and existing small firms.”
Echo IT are now included in the 2018-19 All-Stars Role of Honour. The list is published annually to coincide with the All-Ireland Business Summit at Croke Park.
