SOCCER: Limerick District League Review

Nenagh AFC's tale of woe continued on Sunday afternoon when they followed up their shock exit from the Munster Junior Cup to Corbally United, by exiting the FAI Junior Cup at the first hurdle when they fell to third division Kilfrush Crusaders at Brickfields on Sunday.
Goals from Oisin O'Grady, Bradley McNamara and Tyrique Leamy McNamara gave the county side a famous victory over Nenagh who have lost eight games in a row in all competition.

After reaching the last 32 of the FAI Junior Cup last year, Newport Town are off an running again after they put in a good performance away from home on Sunday morning to beat CorballyUnited 5-0.

A solid defensive performance laid the foundation for this win. Captain Brian O’Sullivan brought his scoring boots and rattled in a hat-trick. Jake Dillon, on his welcome return to the club after playing League of Ireland with Limerick FC U17 & U19 was also on the scoresheet, while Paul Ryan kept his great goal scoring run going with another to add to add to his tally.
