Group 3 and Listed action produces exciting fare at Tipperary

With Group 3 and Listed action down for decision, there was plenty to whet the appetite at Tipperary on Thursday evening but with a 25/1 and a 20/1 winner thrown in for good measure there was much for punters to ponder on before the books could balanced.

The reappearance of the highly regarded Skitter Scatter after an almost four month absence in the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes over an extended seven furlongs was an obvious attraction and while last seasons Group1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner performed with credit she had to be content with second place.

An easy to back 5/2 favourite, the daughter of Scat Daddy broke smartly and settled on the tail of the leaders, she improved to hit the front entering the final furlong but was unable to withstand the late flourish of Waitingfortheday and went under by half a length.

Connections of Skitter Scatter announced that they were “well pleased” with the performance and revealed that the Group1 Matron Stakes will be the next port of call for the three-year-old.
