Drink driving arrests in Nenagh
Three males were arrested on suspicion of drink driving in separate incidents in the local district over recent days. Two of them were arrested at Tyone, Nenagh, on Saturday and Sunday last. The driver's vehicle was seized by gardaí in the first incident.
Another male was arrested on suspicion of drink driving at Tullaheady, Nenagh, at 5am on Saturday. Gardaí are also investigating an incident of dangerous driving on the M7 at Annaholty, Birdhill, where a vehicle was detecting speeding in excess of 150kmph on Friday.
On Tuesday of last week, gardaí in Roscrea searched a vehicle outside the town and found a taser. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
Gardaí are investigating a burglary reported at a business premises at Lisboney Industrial Estate, Nenagh, between Tuesday and Thursday of last week. It is believed that the culprits were searching for copper wire.
A house burglary was reported at Norwood, Nenagh, on Thursday between 2.30pm and 4.30pm; gardaí are asking anyone who might have noticed anything suspicious in the area at this time to contact them.
Public assistance is also sought over a report of criminal damage to a lorry at Ballystanley, Roscrea, at around 3.30am on Tuesday of this week.
