A 62nd minute Donough Leahy goal was the final piece of drama in a stunningly dramatic County Junior 'A' Hurling semi-final late last Saturday, sending Arravale Rovers on their way to the decider, leaving Nenagh Éire Óg shattered with disappointment.

Seconds earlier, the North side stood on the verge of completing a brilliant comeback when Darragh Walsh struck over an almost surreal long-range point from just outside his own 65.

However, events took another turn in the moments that followed, as Leahy found himself bearing down on goal before calmly driving the sliotar past Mark Tuite and sealing a two point victory.

It was a cruel end to Nenagh’s 2019 campaign, crushing their pursuit of a third Junior 'A' county-title, having previously won the competition in 1983 and 2000.
