Non-members can participate in three free walks prior to joining the club.

Two walks planned by Aonach ar Siul this week

Unfortunately, the bad weather put at end to the 'Last of the Summer Wine' walk last Thursday, but this was all made up by the fantastic sunshine that the club had for the walk last Saturday instead, along the Killoscully Heritage loop.

Led by Caitriona, the members really enjoyed this new walk which had a little bit of everything. Their hike took about 3 and half hours, 14km, taking in historic monuments and ancient ruins like the lime kiln, the sweat house and mass rock.

Along an old Mass path with spectacular views of the heart of Tipperary and crossing by the Slieve Felim way. The walk and the village is a credit to the Killoscully community and they should be very proud. It really is a hidden gem in North Tipperary and should be included in everyone's walking agenda.

Members, please note that two walks are available this week Thursday, May 27th, walk leader Willie 0876633577 and Sunday, May 30th, a social scenic walk, two hours, very suitable for beginners, walk leader Pat 085 1741411. Details of the walks will be sent to members by what's app and text. Non-members can participate in three free walks prior to joining the club.
