Silvermines GAA recently ran a ‘Win a Camping Bundle’ online competition in a bid to raise funds for the club with the recent draw taking place at Dolla GAA grounds. Club Chairman Colm Maher paid tribute to all who assisted in promoting the novel online fundraiser.

“I would like to thank everyone who entered in the draw and all monies raised will go towards the ongoing upkeep and development of Dolla GAA Grounds. We have a very hard working committee and there is great credit due to everyone following our Scrap Recycling collection earlier in the year and our latest online Win-a-Camping Bundle Summer fundraiser,” said Colm.

He added: “The club currently caters for numerous adult and juvenile hurling and football teams, camogie, ladies football and handball and has been going from strength to strength in recent years.

“Our walking track is also a huge focal point in the local community and we are always endeavouring to raise funds to cater for the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities in Dolla.”

Announcing the winner of the fantastic six-man air tent, BBQ, High Rise Double Air Bed, Cooler combo kit plus a few added extras, all to the value of €2,000, Colm congratulated local man Mike Conway on his fantastic win.
