Senior Hurling Championship: The Hibernian Inn sponsored North Senior Hurling Championship will get under way this week. It’s important to note that these are all-ticket games with no cash accepted at the gates. Tickets are available through clubs. 2020 Club Match passes will not be accepted. Free entry for Under 16’s.

Intermediate Hurling Championship/League: Shannon Rovers and Moneygall faced off in the Group 4 County League Final last weekend so the North Intermediate League-Championship Round 2 games were postponed. Instead the round 3 fixture of Ballinahinch and Borrisokane took place last Sunday with Ballinahinch victorious 0-18 to 1-14.

The Round 2 fixtures will take place this weekend with Borrisokane hosting Shannon Rovers and Ballinahinch hosting Moneygall. Please keep an eye on the North Tipperary GAA social media pages for full fixture details.

Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship: commenced last Friday with Borris-Ileigh defeating Roscrea 2-14 to 1-15. Kilruane MacDonaghs took on Toomevara in Cloughjordan on Tuesday 3rd August with no result at time of going to print. The second round will take place on Friday 13th August.

Junior ‘B’ Hurling League: Congratulations to Kiladangan who claimed the North Junior ‘B’ league title after an exciting game in Portroe last Sunday. Final Score - Kiladangan 0-20 Silvermines 2-13. Johnny McGrath was the victorious Kiladangan captain. See match report.

Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship: will commence on Saturday 14th August.

Under 19 Hurling: In the ‘A’ competition, Ballina booked their spot in the final after defeating Roscrea 1-15 to 1-14 in the semi-final last Wednesday. On the same evening Silvermines defeated Toomevara 3-16 to 1-13 in the quarter final. Silvermines will take on Kiladangan in the semi-final with the date and venue to be confirmed by the North CCC.

The North ‘B’ hurling championship semi-finals took place last Wednesday. Ballinahinch/Templederry got the better of Kilruane MacDonaghs by three points – 2-18 to 3-12. Borrisokane defeated Burgess 2-22 to 0-11 in the second semi-final. Final fixture detail will be confirmed by the North CCC within the coming days.
