Senior Hurling Championship: Congratulations to Kiladangan who retained the Frank McGrath Cup after a hard earned 2-18 to 1-16 victory over Kilruane MacDonaghs last Sunday in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. See match report. Kiladangan captain David Sweeney accepted the cup after the game whilst Billy Seymour was named as man of the match.
Many thanks to the Nenagh Eire Og club for having their facilities in excellent order and thanks as ever to Martin Morris and family of The Hibernian Inn for their sponsorship of the North Senior Hurling Championship.
Intermediate Hurling Championship: The Savvy sponsored North Intermediate Final between Moneygall and Borrisokane was due to take place last Saturday but has been refixed for Saturday 4th September at 4.00pm in Cloughjordan.
It’s important to note that this is an all ticket game with no cash accepted at the gate. Tickets are available through clubs. 2020 Club Match passes will not be accepted. Free entry for Under 16’s.

Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship: Round 3 of the Watch Centre North Junior ‘A’ Hurling championship will take place this Friday 27th August where Kilruane MacDonaghs will take on Borris-Ileigh in Roscrea and Nenagh Eire Og and Roscrea play in Cloughjordan. Both games will throw in at 6.45pm.
Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship: Round 2 of The Watch Centre sponsored North Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship took place last weekend.
In Group 1, Silvermines currently sit top of the group after victory over Lorrha whilst Newport commenced their campaign with win over Burgess.
Silvermines will look to continue their good form when they take on Newport this Friday in Dolla whilst on Saturday, Portroe will travel to Lorrha.
Group 2 saw Ballina finish strongly to defeat Kiladangan whilst Nenagh Eire Og got the better of Templederry Kenyons by three points. The round 3 games will take place on the weekend of Saturday 4th September with Kiladangan hosting Templederry and Nenagh Eire Og travelling to Ballina.
In Group 3, Knockshegowna continued their winning ways after defeating Moneygall and now sit top of the group with four points. Borrisokane host Shannon Rovers this Wednesday evening. The round 3 games will take place on the weekend of Saturday 4th September with Shannon Rovers hosting Moneygall and Knockshegowna making the short journey to Borrisokane.
Junior ‘C’ Hurling Championship: will commence this Sunday 29th August. The championship will consist of a single group of 5 teams. In Round 1, games are fixed for Sunday at 6.00pm when Kiladangan will host Roscrea and Borris-Ileigh hosting Kilruane MacDonaghs. Ballina will have a bye in Round 1.
Under 19 Hurling: Congratulations to Kiladangan who claimed the North Under 19 ‘A’ Hurling title last Wednesday in Portroe after an exciting 1-19 to 2-15 victory over Ballina. See match report.
The ‘B’ final was also due to take place last Wednesday but was postponed. It has been refixed for Wednesday 1st September with Borrisokane facing Ballinahinch/Templederry. Keep an eye on the North Tipperary GAA social media pages for full fixture details. This will be all ticket games with no cash accepted at the gate. Tickets available through the competing clubs.
