Killaloe/Ballina Tennis Club are setting up a new program for the visually impaired and blind players.

Club Coach Wesley O’Brien is spearheading the new initiative which will be the first of its kind in the mid-west, as there are currently programs in Cork, Dublin and Belfast, with this program catering for players in Tipperary, Clare and Limerick.

The program has the support of the local Sports Partnerships in Tipperary, Clare and Limerick, as well as the National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) and Vision Sports Ireland.

In advance, the club will be running a taster session in St Anne's Community College in Killaloe on Sunday 14th November, with the plan of running a ten-week session for those interested further. See details on right.
